How do I actually use castor oil? Do I need a pack?
Every Goddess body is different. Castor Oil is powerful for a reason—so take it slow, listen closely, and let your body guide the rhythm.
It has many uses—from facial rituals to belly massage to traditional packs—and each one supports a different layer of self-care.

Can I use Castor Oil on my period?
Yes. Many women find it helps soothe cramps and tension during their cycle. But if you’re bleeding heavily or feeling sensitive, you may want to wait a few days before applying over the womb area.
Is Castor Oil safe for all skin types or will it clog my pores?
Castor oil is non-comedogenic (it won’t clog pores). It’s thick, but deeply supportive for dry, sensitive, or barrier-compromised skin. Start slow, especially if you’re breakout-prone. Most Goddesses prefer to use Castor Oil as a night time routine.

If you're using a Castor Oil Pack, your body heat alone is usually enough to support absorption. Some women like to add a gentle heat source—like a warm compress or heating pad—to deepen their ritual or encourage more flow, but it’s entirely optional.

Can I drink Castor Oil?
We don’t recommend drinking Castor Oil.
While some historical texts and natural health books reference internal use, Holistic Goddess Castor Oil is intended for external use only—for skin, belly, and wellness rituals like Castor Oil Packs.

Can I use Castor Oil during pregnancy or while breastfeeding?
We advise against using castor oil—especially over the abdomen—during pregnancy, as it may stimulate uterine contractions. While some traditional practices have employed castor oil for labor induction, it's essential to consult with your healthcare provider before considering its use during pregnancy.
For breastfeeding or postpartum care, castor oil may support scar massage and hormone-friendly rituals. However, always consult your provider before incorporating it into your routine.
